Jelly Roll, real name Jason Bradley DeFord, is an American country singer and songwriter from Antioch, Tennessee. The 39-year-old had his first claim to (sorta) fame with the hip-hop song “Pop Another Pill” in 2010, but scored his real breakthrough in 2020 when he released the acoustic version of the ballad, “Save Me”, which has since garnered over 200 million views on YouTube according to CBS News.

According to People, the couple first met back in 2015, when she was attending one of his concerts. She was reportedly in a relationship at the time, but after keeping in touch via mutual friends, they eventually turned their friendship into something more. “They split, and I’m not going to act like I shot my shot. She kind of shot hers,” Jelly Roll said on the King and the Sting and the Wing Clips podcast. The pair married in 2016.
