ShoreStation Lifts - TS Dock & Lift (2024)

ShoreStation Lifts - TS Dock & Lift (1)

When founder Byron Godbersen designed the first ShoreStation Lift back in 1959, he engineered it to work smarter than other lifts. He used heavier materials, stronger winches, and better cables, too.

Why all the fuss? Byron believed that weekends at the lake should be spent relaxing with the family, not fixing broken equipment. Dependability was on our minds back then as much as it is today. Spend your weekends doing what you love.

BENEFITSof Owning a ShoreStation Lift

Manual Vertical ShoreStation Lifts

ShoreStation Lifts - TS Dock & Lift (3)

The ShoreStation Winch

One of the most important features of these models is time-tested ShoreStation winch. Virtually unchanged for 50 years, it gives you smoother lifting and more dependability than any ordinary winch. The adjustable winch tube can be adjusted up or down for easy access to your boat, as well. Combine this with the oversized operator’s wheel for the most mechanical advantage in the industry.

Aluminum Extrusions

Extrusions add strength and stability to the lift, eliminating the need for weak aluminum welds. An all-bolted design will hold steady and last much longer than traditional designs. In the unfortunate event of a bad storm, your repairs can be made quickly onsite, so you can get back in the water in days – not weeks like a welded design.

UltraBunks

UltraBunks are the maintenance-free, hassle-free alternative to wood carpeted bunks. These bunks are extremely durable and flexible, so they’ll flex and conform to the hull of the boat better than any other on the market, keeping your boat more secure in any condition.

Wheel Lock Mechanism

This spring-activated safety feature prevents the platform from being raised too high. Find another manufacturer that has a safety feature like this (you won’t).

Groove Drum

The grooved winch drum eliminates cable contact while winching for maximum cable life.

Specially Designed Platform

The “V” shape of the platform makes the lift operatable in shallow water and provides easier centering. In the “up” position, there are no moving parts left in the water.

Motor Stop

This feature adds an extra measure of safety and creates perfect positioning time after time. Now made from the same durable components as the UltraBunks. Motor Stops are available as standard equipment on all vertical lifts.

Four Corner Adjustability

Keep the lift platform level while conforming to the lake bottom. The oversized tapered pads make installation and removal easy.

Aluminum & Galvanized Steel Construction

We’ve combined the lasting durability of aluminum with galvanized steel for added strength in critical areas. The result is a strong, lightweight lift that can be installed or removed by hand.

Durable Component Parts

From the stainless pin and brass bushings in the platform pulleys to the stainless steel lift cables, everything is designed for years of dependable service.

Hydraulic ShoreStation Lifts

Wireless Remote

Programming and operation all in one unit! Raise and lower your ShoreStation hydraulic lift with a water-resistant, multi-functional remote. Comes standard with two remote transmitters.

Quickly Secures Boat

When you have a hydraulic lift, there’s no need to worry about wind and waves causing setbacks. This lift is the fastest on the market. It’s designed to give you confidence to safely land and secure your boat in less-than-ideal conditions.

Maximum Protection

With cables that are pulled instead of wound, this system is designed to eliminate cable fatigue issues and safeguard against critical failure. In addition, our hydraulics are pressure regulated, so they stall before lifting potentially damaging loads, giving you peace of mind that your watercraft is safe.

Reliable by Design

With so many variables in the marine environment, deliberate design is crucial. The “high and dry” construction of the hydraulic lift keeps your essential hydraulic and electronic components above the water, minimizing their exposure to moisture and humidity. In addition, the solar-powered, DC operating system eliminates the need for an AC circuit on the dock. This is a lift you can rely on day after day.

UltraBunks

UltraBunks are the maintenance-free, hassle-free alternative to wood carpeted bunks. These bunks are extremely durable and flexible, so they’ll flex and conform to the hull of the boat better than any other on the market, keeping your boat more secure in any condition.

Hydraulic Power Pack

The corrosion free, powder-painted aluminum box protects the hydraulic pump and battery from the elements. Featuring a hinged lid for easy access, it can be mounted securely on the lift tube or placed on the dock with optional hydraulic hose extension kits.

Legacy Canopy Covers

Protection and Convenience

Our vinyl material consists of heavy-duty 18 oz material with 22 oz reinforced bungee pockets to prevent tear outs. Our refined sewing process entails double-stitched ends and welded seams for a watertight seal and maximum life.

Our proprietary canopy design hangs free, maximizing entry and exit clearance. Weighted ends reduce wind damage for long canopy life.

Ours vs. Theirs

The SpoolSnap system features a new canopy design with a bungee cord sewn into the canopy. This bungee is simply looped over a set of spools on the canopy frame for a snug fit and easy removal.

Featuring a vinyl-coated polyester fabric for long-lasting protection, durability, and weatherproofing. The waterproof textured matte finish provides the rich look of fabric with the unmatched durability of vinyl.

Revolutionary Canopy Covers

Easy Installation & Storage

Eliminate the folding, lifting, and tugging with our ‘Roll and Store’ design. Simply unroll, cover the frame, and lock into place with our patented locking system for a taut, fully secured canopy. There’s no need to remove the canopy in the off-season or for safekeeping — simply roll it up and store it on the frame.

Convenient Wireless Operation

Simply push a button on the remote and the cover quickly raises and lowers over your boat. You can even use the same remote for both your lift and ShoreScreen. The black SunTex 80 woven mesh gives the ShoreScreen a subdued shadowy effect. It absorbs and dissipates up to 80% of the sun’s heat while allowing air flow. The microban technology prevents mildew buildup when rolled up.

FAQs

What is the life expectancy of a boat lift? ›

How Long Do Boat Lifts Last? Boat lifts are intended to last about the same length of time as your boat — or longer if you're fortunate. With proper use and regular maintenance, it's common for boat lifts to last up to 25 years.

How much can a shorestation boat lift hold? ›

Powerful, reliable lift operation with the latest wireless technology. Available in 4000 lb. to 15,000 lb. capacity vertical lifts.

How do I find my shorestation model boat lift? ›

The easiest thing to do is measure the height of the lower framework on the lift. The extrusions that connects each upright should measure roughly 2” wide x 4” tall for a 2600 or 3000 lb capacity and should measure roughly 2” wide x 5” for a 3600 or 4000 lb capacity.

What size are shorestation dock sections? ›

What are the dimensions of the sectional dock sections? 4' sections are 50.5" x 95". 6' sections are 68.5" x 95". 8' dock sections are 92.5" x 95".

Is it bad to leave a boat lift in the water? ›

If you live in a warmer climate with mild winters, it's probably safe to keep your dock up and your boat lift in the water all year, but if you experience harsh winters you should plan to remove both your dock and lift to store safely until the risk for freezing temperatures is gone.

How often should boat lift cables be replaced? ›

Even with proper maintenance, boat lift cables should generally be replaced every two years as a precaution.

How high should I keep my boat on a lift? ›

Generally, they're around three or four feet (42 to 58 inches)—enough to keep your boat's hull clear of the water but not enough to be obstructive, and they are short enough to keep from adding excessive weight.

Is a boat lift attached to dock? ›

A piling mount boat lift is attached directly to a fixed dock or to pilings. This, of course, requires a dock or piling structure strong enough to support the lift and the boat, and often requires the custom installation of pilings, which can get expensive.

How long does a boat lift canopy last? ›

As a heavier, more durable fabric, it is estimated these canopies can last 10 years or more with the proper care. The most prominent enemy of your canopy's durability is UV rays. These can make the vinyl brittle and inflexible, making it prone to cracking.

How deep of water do you need for a boat lift? ›

Most boat lift options work best with at least three feet of water, but shallow shorelines still have options. Go with a sling-style option to compensate for the lack of depth. Shallow water or kicked cradles are also beneficial for water that's more shallow on one side of your slip than the other.

How do you move a boat lift? ›

Easily Move Your Boat Lift Anywhere

Follow the assembly instructions in reverse, starting with the furthest dock or boat lift section until the system is in small enough pieces for transit. From there, they can be moved to shore by towing, especially if you have a floating dock system that's very easy to move.

How do I know what size boat lift I need? ›

Consider the cradle beam length: Another way to ensure you're getting the right size boat lift is to measure the widest portion of your boat and add four inches to both sides. Use this length to find the correct size lift cradle beam.

What is the minimum depth for a shorestation? ›

What is the minimum water depth my boat lift will work in? Approximately 12"-14" plus the draft of the boat.

What's the perfect dock size? ›

While an average boat dock size can be considered at 6 x 30 feet, boats come in a range of sizes. Boat dock sizes can be very adjustable so that they can be made to fit whatever your boat needs. With common boat sizes ranging from 15 to 25 feet, an average boat dock size needs to be able to accommodate more than that.

How many years does a lift last? ›

The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) suggests within their Guide D to Transportation systems in buildings, that the typical life of a lift can be between 20 and 25 years for an electric traction lift, and approximately 15 years for a hydraulic lift.

How long do boat risers last? ›

The general consensus on raw water-cooled manifolds and risers is that they will last upwards of (6-8) years. Keep in mind that most if not all engine manufacturers do not put out a service bulletin on how long these maintenance items will last.

What is the life expectancy of a lift station? ›

Your lift station can last between 15 to 20 years, depending on the type of lift station and the maintenance. Proper maintenance and regular plumbing will keep your system running for more than 20 years.
