Academically, however, teachers can be difficult to work with as office hours and grading systems are a bit complicated. Some teachers don't make themselves available to students during office hours or when responding to emails. The school counselors are eager to help people, while the administration likes to make it difficult to reach counselors in times of need. In the three years I have gone to Garfield two students have tragically passed away from gun violence and many on campus shootings have occurred.
