Jelly Roll‘s wife, Bunnie XO‘s, father is currently battling Stage 4 cancer, and Jelly Roll shared an update on his condition during a show this week.
Noting that what he was sharing was “a little personal,” Jelly Roll told the crowd that he felt comfortable discussing the situation because Bunnie had shared it online.
“My wife’s not here tonight,” he said. “She’s with her father who’s battling stage four cancer, and I’m going to fly to be with her as soon as I can and I miss her so much.”
He also implored fans who follow Bunnie on social media to send her a message. “Tell her we love her. We miss her,” he said. “We wish she was here. This is one of the few shows she couldn’t make it to, but she’s handling real… she’s handling some really heavy s— right now. So y’all pray for me and my wife.”

Jelly Roll further thanked fans for showing up for his concert.
“While I’m just being honest… thank you for buying the ticket. Thank you for paying the fee [and] Thank you for waiting in line. Thank you for standing in the sun all day and waiting on this show,” he said, adding, “We joke and we laugh and we cry. But from the bottom of my heart, I just wanted to make music that helped people the way that music helped my family. And thank y’all so much.”

The “NEED A FAVOR” singer also took to social media to share a message in support of his wife, Bunnie XO.

Takes Break From Tour To Be By Her Dad’s Side
Bunnie had initially told fans that she would be away from Jelly Roll’s tour for just over a week due to a family emergency, later revealing that her dad, Bill, was battling cancer.
“I received one of the worst calls yesterday that shook me to my core,” she shared in a social media video on Sunday that featured footage of her packing for the airport. “My dad has been silently battling Stage 4 cancer for the past year alone w/just his wife.”
“He insisted no one kno so he could try to heal it himself because he’s into holistic remedies,” her text continued. “Sadly the cancer has now spread into his bone marrow & his bones are breaking, he can’t lift his arms, walk, barely eat & he’s in so much pain you can’t even hug him.”
The video also included shots of Bunnie XO spending time with her father and text reading, “My dad is the coolest dude I’ve ever known. We clash because I’m just like him, but there’s nothing in the world I wouldn’t do for my pops. Hearing this & seeing him like this is shattering my soul.”
“I don’t kno what the next few weeks hold for us, but all I kno is I just want to wrap him up in love & make this process for him as comfortable as possible,” she concluded.
Sad Update On Bunnie XO’s Dad Cancer Battle
The Dumb Blonde Podcast host shared an update on her father on TikTok on Wednesday, telling fans that Bill’s cancer is “unusually aggressive.”
“Today was the day we were holding out hope for,” she wrote over video of her father in a wheelchair. “The words we were praying to hear never came tho. My dad’s cancer is ‘unusually aggressive.’ Meaning no treatments are working or will work. Even tho our days are numbered, we’re going to make them count. Love you pops.”
